Interesting period, I remember doing a paper on the rebellion for my Tudor and Stuart class. The novel and movie Captain Blood starts off with Monmouth's Rebellion after which the protagonist is sent into indentured servitude in the Caribbean and then becomes a pirate. Grelber |
