Happy Easter everyone, latest post on KeepYourPowderDry returns to metal figures. A bit of a revamp of my Parliamentarian command. Some Steel Fist figures join the army, and a few named individuals become different people. link

They are superb!

If I might ask, What flag did you use for the Essex figure and any advice on flags for my command stands of Fairfax and Manchester?

Thanks

Mysteron – SF are beautiful sculpts, but I can't say that I am sold on them due to the issues that I have had with swords, scabbards and having to replace horses.

Personal standards didn't really exist, with the exception of Royal banners for Charles and Rupert (interestingly Maurice has no recorded banner). But don't let that stop you (it hasn't stopped me). The great and good of the Civil Wars invariably had a colonel's colour for their regiment of horse. As they were colonel of the regiment I've utilised these colours for command stands. This is the route I've gone down. I think I utilised Essex's lifeguard cornet. Which Fairfax – Tom or Ferdinando? Tom has a peacock blue cornet with a pattern, Ferdinando a white cornet with papal crown. I have a Tom Fairfax command stand – use the 'command' label on the blog to find him. Manchester – sorry can't remember, have a look at the BCW wiki

KYPD – I have only had one broken horse . In fact it was a 3 legged beastie and came delivered like that. Steve at Steel Fist to his credit replaced it promptly with 3 horses . So I cant complain too much .

KYPD , Thanks for the advice on the commanders flags, I'll opt for the Colonels colours as you suggest.
