I know what the uniforms of the 8 US Marines looked like during the 1805 expedition against the Barbary Pirates. But I wonder what the uniforms, if any, of the 75 Christian mercenaries led by Lieutenant Eaton which included Greeks, Italians, Maltese and a few French looked like. I wonder if I can use an assortment of early Napoleonic War uniforms.

I think you can do that…look all over the place for interesting looking soldiers, civilians, guerillas etc.

Have you written a scenario yet?

You could probably also use Bashi-Bazouk style figures.

I'm thinking Spanish Guerrillas might work as well.

Nick, I think a mix of Spanish guerrillas and Bashi Bazouk figures would work. Or conversions there of.

I am doing it in 54mm, since it's such a small action. Barzso made figures for both the Marines and Pirates and they are being reissued by LOD. link
Pontoonier has some nice ones in 28mm link

ACW Zouaves in fezes could work for the Albanians!

Dave Jackson, there's a god article about the action in Wargames Illustrated 236, including illustrations of the Marines, Greeks, Albanians and the Italian artillerymen. Also a good map. The action is so small, I am thinking of using the Fistful of Lead gunfight rules.
