"The Figures are from different manufacturers.
Mainly I used the new British tank soldiers in tropical uniform from Orion.
The Ford pickup is a diecast model from Cararama – but with scratch built tarpaulin and repainted by me.
The Otter is from IBG but with an Israeli machine gun turret.
The half-track is by PSC and also with a scratch built tarpaulin and various pieces of luggage.
The jeep is from S-Mode…"

I have, from time to time, thought about trying to game the 1947-49 war. British, French, German and American equipment all in use, and the Israelis, in particular, used anything they could get their hands on. Most of it was WWII war surplus, so not too hard to come by.

Movies like Exodus and Cast a Giant Shadow for inspiration.
