Here in Champaign, ILL, Ed Dyess' name was known. He was married to Marajen Stevick when he died.She ended up owning a lot of our local media and in the lobby of the News-Gazette was a huge mural of Dyess.

My brother-in-laws father was on the death march. He has said that his dad was never able to talk about the experience.
