I found the book "thinking fast and slow" absolutely fascinating. "Fast" gut decisions let your ancestors survive. Same mechanism is still there and comes with some serious baggage.

Those mechanisms have been with us for hundreds of thousands of years.

Every time "they" make a discovery about early man, they push back when "sophisticated" behaviour and problems arose.

I think humans stopped evolving about 100 years ago and have started a profound decline of de-evolving back to their true essential animal nature. Soon the education system will have us resembling dumbed-down Neanderthals with a vocabulary that consists of only calling each other names, getting offended easily, and existing only for free handouts.
