Good day for the FBI and the good people of Pennsylvania law enforcement

So his story is that he wasn't the one who stole them?

No, he stole them. He just didn't intend to sell them… until, apparently, he did sell at least one of them. The first story isn't clear on how he "led" the investigators to the other guns. Interestingly, the guns in his home were apparently legal purchases, but they were somehow able to connect him with the stolen guns, and in a plea deal, he indicated where the stolen guns could be found. (I think.)

Honestly, the first article is confusingly written. I can't get any sense of how many actual stolen guns were recovered (as opposed to his otherwise legal collection), or if all the guns stolen by the man have been recovered, or if all the guns stolen at the time have been recovered (that is, were others coincidentally stealing museum firearms at the time?) I think it's an "all were stolen by him and all have been recovered" story, but it's a little unclear on what "all" means, and if the "trove" includes the legal guns too.

The second article only mentions one gun, and not the gun most prominently mentioned in the first article.

I only put it out because of the rare pistol.😂

"The defense attorney told reporters his client simply collected the guns because he loved history, memorized every detail about them and had no intention of ever selling them."

Apparently, that does NOT make it okay.
