Hello everyone ,

Well here I am looking for a specific rule for the Indian Mutiny for large scale actions, very classic and as valid for example as "THE 1879 ZULU WAR AND BOER ZULU CONFLICT by Richard Tory" for the zulu war, for those who know it.

I only have the "INDIAN MUTINY SKIRMISH RULES" by Timothy Hall & Roger Needham, a rule that I love and which can be played in large scale actions, but which does not really give scales of numbers but ready-made units so many or so figurines depending on the types of units, their nationality, etc…

Thank you all

I don't know the 1879 rules but "Indunas, Colonels and Emirs" is an old school rule set by Rudy Scott Nelson. Specifically for the IM.

But John Company covers both the Mutiny and the Mahdist wars, and has sourcebooks available about same:

I know there a couple on Free wargame rules online. Also, check back on TMP under Indian Mutiny rules as I know that not that long ago a new set had come out.

"Sepoy" by Graham Evans
"The Devil's Wind" by David Bickley
"Indian Mutine-era" by Graham Evens
"The Devil's Wind" by John Cape Caper Conflicts
"Colonial Conflicts The Indian Mutiny" by Roxanne Patton
The last title uses either The Sword and the Flame or The Men Who Would Would Be Kings as the base rules, but treats each unit as a battalion. Of the titles listed, the last title is the one I have played and enjoyed the most. The book allows you play all the battles of the Siege of Delhi and the 1st Relief of Lucknow, up to the relief.

Caliver will be publishing "Mad Dogs and Englishmen, 2d Edition" in April. It will be accompanied by two scenario books covering wars in India from 1798-1848 and 1848-1858. The second book will have scenarios for 32 historical Mutiny battles.
