This is an adaptation of The Prisoner scenario from 20th Anniversary Scenario Portfolio. Friendly Sudanese tribesmen have notified the Anglo-Egyptian HQ that a gathering of Dervishes encamped some miles distant appear to have a white captive with them. It is suspected that said prisoner to be none other than LT. Sir Harry Flashman who was reported missing last week from a survey party. London has stated that Lt. Flashman will be rescued at all costs – dead or alive!
This scenario is going to be run at ReCon in Kissimmee Florida (4/27/23) by David Welch and I as a memorial game for his father who recently passed away. Rick and I were discussing several projects and scenarios he wanted to run at cons now that he finally retired and would have the time. Very unfortunately he had lost his battle with cancer a short time later. More on my blog: link |

See Flashman and the Tiger. He runs into Gordon at Charing Cross Station and stumbles into the famous seeing off of Gordon on his departure to Sudan. The farewell commit includes Garnet Wolsey, Cambridge and Grenville and Flashman is dragooned into going to Sudan with Gordon. He is called Colonel Flashman in this episode. Had Flashy not being following a pretty young thing down Platform 3 he wouldn't have run into Gordon. LOL. |

@Der Alte Fritz, thank you for that data. I'd been meaning to check Flashy's rank in my library after the correct reply by Scwabian Grenadier regarding the same. I will update my scenario doc to reflect Colonel Flashman's proper rank at this time. You can always count on the colonial gaming community to lend a hand!
