You've got a scenario map, and you need to create some hills. Is there some way to just print out the map in very large scale, so you can trace the outline of the hills you need to build? The Editor finds out...

I just received this model italeri.com/en/product/2908 yesterday in the mail, and while it is advertised as a 1:72nd scale model, given its dimensions, it actually works better for 15mm.

As best as I have been able to determine, the Reichstag is 47 meters/154 feet tall at its highest point, at the center of the dome. The towers are around 40 meters high, though I think they were a little bit taller in their original configuration, but close enough.

The Italeri model's towers are around 30 centimeters or just over a foot tall. At figure scale, assuming that the figures are actually 15mm tall (yeah, yeah, I know) that makes it 20 times the height of a figure. The 40 meter towers, compared to the average height of a man as being 1.75 meters, are 22.85 times the height of a man, or REALLY close!

Once I get this model finished, I'll need to figure out a way to post some pictures on here of it next to some 15mm troops and vehicles.

What a remarkable offering!

Please and by all means share with us news of your progress and all the photos you can spare.

I'm impressed that the decision was properly made to show the building in its wrecked state, and that there is even a nod to some degree of accessible interior.

It could easily become the centerpiece of a very specific convention game likely using a variety of rules.

Best of Luck!

The towers are around 40 meters high … The Italeri model's towers are around 30 centimeters or just over a foot tall.

Assuming those numbers are correct, that would make the model scale around 1:133 (0.3 m divided by 40 m), which is a tad smaller than what most people would probably consider as 15 mm.

That said, it is still a honking huge model on tabletop, and since the architecture seems rather monumental in styles (with huge doors, windows etc.) there might not be too many visual cues to relate it to specific scale – other than maybe the stairs in the front.

I'll need to figure out a way to post some pictures on here

AFAIK you cannot upload photos directly to TMP, though you can easily link photos that you have uploaded on third party websites.

Bit of a limited scenario usage isn't it?

Bit of a limited scenario usage isn't it?

Admittedly. I've thought of using it for the 1919 Spartacist uprising (using WWI Germans and Volksturm), and if I ever did Team Yankee I could do a 1985 Berlin scenario using it.

While the historical scenarios might be a bit limited (besides the Cold War era what-ifs), I think it could also make an impressive centrepiece for science fiction gaming, if you are into that sort of settings.
