All,
I'm getting back into 28mm SciFi, mostly rpg and small skirmish. My core at present are a few of the GW quick build Cadians and some cultists. I'm thinking of getting a box or a couple sprues of Stargrave minis. How do the two match up?

I wish I could compare. I only have the Stargrave minis, and zero GW minis. I do enjoy the Stargrave minis. A lot of flexibility for poses and weapon options

It's science fiction. You have, let's say, a lot of room for flexibility.

The Stargrave kits are smaller than GW, but see for yourself

Last weeks GW? This weeks? Next weeks?

My question is what other lines of plastic figures can I raise for bits for the Stargrave sets, and visa versa.

Wargames Atlantic sci fi mix well with Stargrave minis

Played the other week using my cheap-off-eBay Mantic Enforcers that are nudging 32mm, so I'd say steer clear of Mantic, and my opponent had StarGrave and Wargames Atlantic plastics. I've got some Ad Mech bits which I've been playing around with some FrostGrave plastic barbarians to create some techno-barbarians – they may work.

infojunky30 Apr 2024 1:15 p.m. PST

My question is whose bits work with the Wargames Atlantic and Stargrave plastics?

Paul Walks01 May 2024 8:46 p.m. PST

I find the GW Cadian are just a little bigger than Stargrave and Wargames Atlantic. All other GW Scifi I find are far too big. Some marines are now nearly 40mm tall! Stargrave, and Wargames Atlantic are true 28mm tall.
