I decided to pull the trigger on a couple sets of buildings from Battle Honours 3D – and I can't. The only way to check out is to make an account, but I get to a page that says To continue, let us know you're not a robot with a Submit button, and when I click it, I get an error page. There is no way I can find to get past this (different browsers, turning off ad blocker, disabling extensions, etc.).

Has anyone successfully bought anything from this site?

I've never tried BH, but I have had good experience with Diabolical Terrain.

Ok, so yes I have made two purchases.

First one took a month, but I am happy with them. Assembled but not painted.

Second order is for a couple of buildings. Month later not arrived..but and this is a bit of a killer… I noticed prices has risen. My order cost me £64.00 GBP, however, now it would cost me £98.00 GBP!

There are a few other buildings I'd like, but this price rise has put me off getting lots of them, maybe just one more…but that's it… :(

They have a Russian church listed at $231 USD in 28mm scale. I can't fathom why it would be so expensive unless I'm missing something here?? The $12 USD price for the 6mm version seems a bit pricey as well but not crazy like the 28mm version

Maybe a real gold plated dome?

BrockLanders20 Mar 2023 2:42 p.m. PST

It better be gold plated for that price

Thanks, that was a good tip. Unfortunately, Diabolical doesn't offer the ones I want in 10mm scale, which is what I'm looking for. frown

I found the pricing between 25mm to 28mm to be way off. Interesting he would even have that differential since their so close in size.

Hey Chaps, Michael from Battle Honours 3D here. Just stumbled upon this TMP thread. Just to address a few of the above items, when we first launched we had lots of spam fake orders from people trying to sell us marketing, so we added the step of forcing people to make accounts prior to purchasing anything to prevent these spam bots sending us hundreds of messages a day! As for costs of the models, when we first launched rathering than producing in FDM like many other sites, we produced everything in liquid resin at 8k quality, which is slower and much more expensive than FDM. The liguid resin we were using intially was £32.00 GBP/KG and went upto £60.00 GBP which forced us to raise prices. In the past few months we have got ourselves some FDM machines and now produce models at 20mm and above in FDM which means we were able to reduce our prices massively in the larger scales, and still maintain quality. An example of the repricing a 28mm Russian church is $107. USD Any pieces that require finer detail will still be produced in resin, in our eyes the best of both worlds. Designs wise, currently there are quite a few of our buildings that are designed by Jens, and if you check out the bottom of each page there is a link to Jens site if you wish to puchase some of the STL directly. I hope that has answered most of your questions and queries. :)
