I'm a big fan of Revell Aquacolor I like the user friendly pots more than dropper bottles that I really don't like. Having said I have paints from several different manufacturers citadel, Foundry, Vallejo, army painter, Green stuff world, Tamiya as well a Revell.

I'd prefer to stick with Humbrol Tbh, but Vallejo and GW are convenient as the local games shops stock those. Humbrol acrylic is still far better paint that either of those, I've got one pot which is 25 years old and still fine.

GW paint but I am starting to like Two Thin Coats.

I tried the craft paints on a terrain project and boy I didn't know how bad they were. No wonder people don't like painting.

Folk Art and Apple Barrel didn't make the cut, but I think of them as the same brand. (I may have just given a marketing executive an aneurism by saying that.) I get them in the cheap craft paint aisle of the store and buy whichever happens to be cheaper at the time in the colour(s) I am looking for.

It's like the pizza democracy experiment…

All of the inexpensive craft paint brands work well and have an amazing array of colors. Easy to work with and clean up, or mix and customize. I have dozens, they often last years and revive with a little water. They are pretty interchangeable, IMO, and make up one gigantic affordable and endless supply.

Humbrol Acrylics for me.

I have used them since the 1980s. Some are that old and still fine. Once a year I used to scrape out the caps and lids of old paint. Also adding a few drops of water from a syringe and mixing it in.

I don't paint as much as I used to, but old friends give me their old Humbrol acrylics. They like Vallejo. It's not for me.

Reaper and Vallejo. I like their viscosity and pigment. Craft paints for base colors.
