I spent a good 2 hours last night trying to search for insight, to no avail.

Considering the shows location and initial claims when they approached me at Fiasco, I can not find a single mention of it, anywhere, on any of the usual boards/forums/social media. (Outside of the few traders saying they will be there on their own websites)

Did I miss something, or is there just no interest in another show in Sheffield?

I'm confident their initial pitch had '100 traders' floating around, and so far its 13… Even the usual suspects, that attend nearly every show, big or small, are missing.

Sheffield used to be one of the best shows on the circuit – when it was at the University. Then it shifted to the indoor sports arena and went downhill quickly.

Only 13 confirmed traders and the show is in just over a week, does not bode well for it.

I'm going to go along and see what it is like, I know some people in the DBA competition. It is Chillcon the week after as well.

The lack of traders is what worries me. There are quite a few in the radius of Sheffield alone, yet very few are making the trip.

The space cost is actually the most expensive I've seen so far (outside of Salute) so it's beginning to look like a fruitless endeavor.

Can't say that the list of games or traders would persuade me to attend. Throw in lousy train services and it makes it almost inaccessible for me anyway as I don't drive.

Pity really, I hope it goes well for them but I'm not holding my breath.

I agree, the list would not persuade me either.

I cant imagine, in it's current state, they are likely to get more than 200 through the door. A far cry from the 2000' they pitched. It's pretty much just a tournament event at this point, not a trade show.

I was hoping more interest would appear over the weekend but
looks like Irregular has now withdrawn their attendance, pretty much sealed the decision to withdraw myself.

Hope they can attract some more interest next year. More show options are never a bad thing.

Being one week ahead of the existing Sheffield Show (Chillcon) seems like poor planning really…
