Hi Everyone,

On the blog, I wrote up a review of the spaceship combat game Starmada Unity.

If you're looking for some space hip rules (i'm using it for Star Trek gaming) then check it out why not.

Very well done. Inexpensive and clear rules.
Are there stats for ships and fleets for Battle fleet Gothic and or Star Trek universe?

Thanks for giving it a read.
No, in the main rule book there are no stats for ships other than the ones from the Starmada universe. So you have to design the ships for your favorite universe on your own. But as I point out it's pretty easy once you figure out the spreadsheet. You might find some fan creations online somewhere.

I've made lots of ship designs for Star Trek TNG and will publish them on the blog eventually.

There are rule books for Full Thrust and Starfleet Battles

Saw on Amazon they also have Starmada 2020 Rules Annex.
Is this necessary also?

No, you do not need the rules annex. That's for previous versions. All you need is the core rule book called Unity. 😀

Wargames Vault has it on sale for $7.32 USD instead of $12.99 USD

Just to follow up; I posted my stats / ship designs for Star Trek TNG / DS9 ish. Federation and Klingon.

Could be a starting out point for anyone. 😀

Oh, merde. I was all excited check out the sale, and I already bought it!

Okay, I thought so, but better safe than…

I've not played this version, but I recall now that I was definitely intrigued by a read through.

While there's a lot of support for previous versions, MJ12 claims in the offering that:
'Long-time players will be thrilled to learn there is no need to convert existing starship designs to this new edition: comprehensive rules are included which allow players to use both Admiralty and Nova ship display sheets with a minimum of modification.'

I would appreciate players of the long term variety who've attempted the switch to verify, of course.

Hmm.. I best get to looking at the Art of Stew… ;->=
