My grandsons recently visited and really enjoyed playing a game of Hail Caesar with my Victrix collection of Persians and Greeks. They asked if I would paint them some figures for their birthday. I enthusiastically accepted the request. They prefer the smaller 1/72 scale, so I ordered two boxes of the Zvezda Persians. I have not had an easy time with this scale in the past, mostly due to the lack of fine detail on the figures. That was certainly not the case with these. They painted up quite well. I think my grandsons will be very pleased. Now I am waiting for some Greeks to finish off the project.

One of the grandsons will receive the yellow themed soldiers, the other the red themed.

I love hearing such stories. The figures look great and I am sure the lads will love them!

There is some amazing stuff coming out in 1/72 plastics. These aren't your Airfix sets of old.

The Zvezda figures are fantastic.
