I recall Rory saying he would be updating the damage and critical hit results for Naval Command. That was quite some time ago. Anyone heard anything? Or, rather, seen anything?

If I may clarify…in the latest 2021 Rules Update, it states (page 36) "Damage is represented by four types of marker: Fire, Flood,Systems and Structure." But in the Damage Table just below only Fire, Flood, and Structure damage are possible results.

Also, in the Print Friendly rules -2021 also – the types of damage are Minor, Flood, Fire, Structure.

So which is correct and if the former, what about System damage?

I would like to like these rules, but they seem utterly half-baked. They don't seem to have been play tested at all. There are Damage Markers, as mentioned above, but no statement that 1 hit equals 1 damage marker (am I wrong about this?).

The ship data seems incomplete. No mention of F-35s on board the Nimitz class or the Gerald Ford. I do love the lists for covering all the latest ships, eg Zumwalt and Independance classes.

These rules have the potential to be the best set of modern naval out there, apart from Harpoon V, and whose got a spare decade to learn Harpoon? This 'latest version' feels more like a 'first draft'.
