"The Pledge, February 2023" Topic

We had our big local convention in February, so I ended up buying more figures than I painted.
Here are the details:
30 figures painted and two horses.
46 figures purchased.

The painted figures included 29 Mycenaean era figures, two of whom I made up stories about as I painted. In addition, I completed one Pathan, but did not make up a story about him.

For the year, this gives me 57 figures painted, 43 sold off, and of course, 46 purchased, so I am still ahead for the year.

Not bad considering all the figures I am painting for others.

Trying a new experiment. I call it "Four figures a day."
(This is just getting the figures painted, not flocked or sealed.)

So far it's doing better than I expected.

Painted: 55 Figures and 1 building, so 56 I guess.

Building: The livery stable. (A conversion of an Ertl Cowtown building). This is the third building I have built since the beginning of the year.

Not a great month as far as purchases go. Found a few deals to add to exisitng periods, so, at least no new periods/genres. Here are the ugly details

95 – 28mm Ancients (Been neededing some Roman cav, celt cav, and celt chariots. Founds a great deal for all of it as well as some german cav)
158 – 15mm AWI (been looking for deals on Musket Miniatures and Minifigs, found both)

I'm still on the plus side, I guess that is good news.

So for led a net win for cash a net loss.
Now back to the commitment of 1.5 hours a day behind the brush.

The fates conspired against me, 0 painted.
Fortunately I did not buy anything in February.

I went to a flea market and picked up 179 League of Augsburg figures. That certainly crushed my month. Some of them are mostly painted but I'm counting towards the unpainted pile and hopefully they will get to a finished state quickly. I'm still working on the Mark's Little Soldiers and ordered more. This project is way bigger than I originally planned.

1st Pledge post ever, but rather a fan of the concept. Unfortunately, an inauspicious start for me:
1) New role/responsibility at work + busiest season of year
2) Found some out-of-production All the King's Men AWI figures for sale that I could not pass up.
