These little bases were put together as I took a breather for a week during The Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge which I have been enjoying. The idea of punctuating the Thematic Byzantine posts with some smaller mini projects has really helped me keep focused on the main item and if the weather changes so I can get my bloomin' varnishing done I will have posted three mini projects as well as five Thematic cavalry posts by Monday next week. Not bad going for someone who usually paints at a glacial pace! There are many more pictures of each of the three bases on my Just Add Water Blog here:

Are the banners from Little Big Man Studios? Hi Big Red. Yes, all the banners are from Little Big Man Studios. With my armies, most of the time (not all) I will either choose to hand paint the shields or hand paint the banners as I have with my Justinian Byzantines below:
