Konstantinos Travlos aka "Leadhead PhD" has been developing small battle scenarios to play in an hour or so on 3'x3'. He's publishing these as his Journal des Petites Batailles. The first of these games to be played is Oeversee, a clash from the Second Schleswig-Holstein War of 1864. Here are two AARs, one from each of the protagonists: link link |

Thanks for the links! I completely lost track of Dr. Travlos. I still miss him terribly. These look like Neil Thomas-scale gaming. Does that make these Bloody Small Bloody Big Battles scenarios? - Ix |

Tres drole. :-) Perfect Pocket Punch-Ups? Anyway, what Konstantinos is doing is exploiting BBB's fast and fun mechanisms to enable tasty bite-sized games that retain BBB's historical detail and tactical flavour but don't need as much time or space as the standard 3-hour, 6'x4' template. |
