The pics at RAFM aren't very good – a bit fuzzy and blurry, some poor paint jobs. But this poster has put a whole bunch of pics up that help show how amazing this [Perry Bros sculpted] miniatures are:

Cleaning and priming the figs helps a lot with the visuals – I can see a bunch that I definitely want…

Thanks for sharing, and great pics.

I didn't know the Perry Brothers did those, so that is interesting too.

Dude claims he got email confirmation from one of the bros, and he said they were great fun to sculpt.

Some of these 15s look good enough to be 28s, they're so nicely done!

I'm also getting some Khurasan – which are very nice – but I'm getting some of these, also.

I assume these are true 15mm? What other figures do they match?

DyeHard21 Feb 2023 10:38 a.m. PST

These are smaller 15mm, not quite sure if "True" which are very small by today's standards.

Many are still available and more photos here:

I would not say they are small – they are on average 15mm from foot to eye, not counting the base.

Women can me smaller, 13-14mm
Men can be bigger, 14-17mm
Armor and suits can push it up a bit. One of the marines is 17mm just to the eye – but shouldn't they be bigger?

So "Real 15s" might be the way to describe it, but it seems more like they are done to a scale than to a size due to the subtle but correct size differences in the line. Perhaps 1:133 would be right.

They match up very nicely with the older, GZG sculpts. Jon's newer GZG sculpts are more like 18mm than true 15mm ones, like the original.

That other UK retailer who posts here frequently, also has true 15mm figs – name escapes me for the company, but I believe the poster is named Gavin. Someone will be along shortly to provide more details, no doubt.

Alternative Armies Laserburn range and RAFM figures 'play well together'. AA's Ion Age range are bigger. Can't really be mixed in the same unit but don't look too bad on the same table. I'd say modern GZG figures in full suits would work okay with the suite RAFM ones. Unsuited figure probably don't quite mix as well. Personally I found some GZG's older 15mm figures on the smaller side compared to RAFM.

Short answer on size. the RAFM/Citadel Traveller figures play well With most of the Ground Zero Games figures.
