Maybe it's just that people who would come to a website like TMP are predisposed to see the attack possibilities of this sort of technology, but I agree. I was surprised to see the examples of useful things this could do, as opposed to assassinations, theft, sabotage, and other illegal uses. So, gallium melts at 29.8 degrees Celsius, which is about 86 degrees Fahrenheit (if I did the calculations right in my head, rather early in the morning). That would mean this would have problems on a hot day. Then there are questions about what components could or couldn't be made to melt at this relatively low temperature and other techy issues like power sources, so I don't think murder robots will be the bit, must have 2023 Christmas gift item. But it is definitely out there. Really a fascinating article, Bashytubits! Grelber |
