I'd been wanting some new display shelves/cases for miniatures for a long time but hadn't had any luck finding anything suitable -- until this week! I found an eBay store that offers all sizes and styles of custom display cases, very reasonably priced, so I want to share it with others. I've posted "Want to Buy" messages on this topic before. auction -- In especial, I draw your attention to the shot glass displays -- I got one of these delivered today, and it's perfect. auction These are just the size for 25mm minis, and some styles can hold even larger/taller figures. They have attached hanging hooks and include a set of wall mounting screws; free shipping in most cases; mine came very quickly and was very carefully packed in a sturdy box with styrofoam corner guards. I'm not a sock puppet or affiliated with this company in any way. I'm posting this as a service to my fellow miniatures enthusiasts who are also looking for display cases like this. And plenty of other models for other collectibles. I recommend! |

Smart idea. I wonder if they are stack-able? |

They are square and sturdy -- you probably could stack them, but wouldn't that be inherently unstable? |

I think an Ikea Billy with glass doors is a better option. But I have a near 40 year old collection though. |

Those are great for individual figures but I do armies. |

Those knife display cases with drawers down below look like gorgeous naval miniature storage/transport boxes, but… the prices! Ouch! |

Yes, these display cases are suitable for individual display pieces, not whole armies. I should have noted that in my original post. You could fit 50-100 figures in my sample noted, it has 49 spaces and each could hold at least 2 25mm figures. |

After doing extensive searching back in 2019, I finally found that this Ikea one was the best quality and price for what I needed. Doesn't have any lighting in it, but it could be easily added. If I recall correctly, this was about $75.00 USD with in-store pickup. It's available at others places besides Ikea of course, for comparable prices. The brand is "Detolf". Assembly was pretty straightforward and it's very sturdy. Holds several hundred human-sized miniatures easily as well as a fair number of larger models. Really happy with how it worked out.
Here is my mine in my own gaming room:
