Very nicely done, but the colors of the 33rd Foot are placed incorrectly. From the way the color bearers are facing, the position of the colors need to be reversed so that the King's color is on its own right facing the short edge of the formation. Sorry for being so critical but this is one of my "pet peeves."

Bet the 1/27 square does not look like that when finished. There might be a few still standing, but not too many

Maybe the wind was blowing the other way when they set up?

The change of wind direction would of course create this appearance. Nicely worked out.

Even then, the King's Colour to the right of the Regt colour is very well known (except of course in the Guards where it still applies, but looks all wrong). But did it apply far more to the line formation than, say a square?

I should point out that this half a square, and incomplete. The completed square shows the Colours the right way round. The Colour Party were given corrective instructions and the subalterns involved received extra duties for their mistake from the Adjutant. They apologise profusely and won't be doing it again.
