tricks were also in the intelligence field to support physical deception.

operation mincemeat in ww2

the mienhertagen (sorry about the spelling)trick in palestine in ww1.

also in ww2 we had the signals tricks using false messages to support fictitious armies pre d-day.

what about the trick used to identify japanese intentions pre the battle of midway.
