So, there is a date, but is that where it ends? I can't find any registration info or PEL. I'm not he brightest, so please somebody point me in the right direction if I'm missing something.
Thank you.

Here is the link to the official webpage. Just go to the Cold Wars header at the top and the dropdown menu has all the needed topics.
Hope this helps you,

Just waiting for games to start appearing, can't wait.

The PEL does not seem to be posted, there one for board games and tournaments?

Martyn K08 Feb 2023 9:04 a.m. PST

Looks like they are way behind as the PEL was meant to be published last week and registration was meant to open yesterday.

DeRuyter08 Feb 2023 10:16 a.m. PST

They have left game submissions open longer due to a low game count. That has probably pushed back the PEL.

Tournaments are up though.

Preliminary games seem to be up

Version 1 PEL is up

And there always 2 games you want at same time

The PEL can be found here. PDF link

Events are down, and we know it's not just one elephant in the room to talk about. I usually post a link on my blog of the events that interest me (including mine, and avoiding posting duplicate event most of the time). For Fall-In! 2022, I had 51 events catch my eye. For Cold Wars, it will only be 36.

I have the time off, I have a room, and I'll have a small stash of cash for the dealers/Wally's. I'll run my games and partake in (permitted) beverages, just like every other Cold Wars before.

@ViscountEric

Where do you game locally?

TSD10111 Feb 2023 7:35 a.m. PST

Sent an email asking what timeslots they need extra games in but haven't heard back yet.

Thinking 2 days for once but not sure Sunday schedule

Registration not open yet?

14Bore15 Feb 2023 3:25 a.m. PST

Still no sign up registration, getting worried

No Worries Skip,

On Cold Wars Website:
"Attendee registration is delayed due to a combination of the extended game submission deadline, technical issues with the hotel's table placement software, and volunteer illness. A date will be announced once table allocations (and therefore the event selection form) have been completed."

See you in 22 days!

Saw the announcement I just wonder if at this point it would be easier to just skip game registration for CW and do it onsite with the tickets OR just gave each GM a sign up sheet to put on their table. Would allow them to at least open badge purchases now.

Can't be any worse than having an 8 player game sold out in prereg and only 2 people showing up with all the window shopping that goes on that people have their heads buried in the sand about.

Martyn K15 Feb 2023 9:07 p.m. PST

If pre-registration for games is taken away, I would probably withdraw my two games. I don't want to pack all my stuff, take it to the con and then have no-one locked in to play the games. It would give the GMs no visibility.

Patience everything will work out. Martyn your game will sell out. However not as fast as Jupiter's Cox.

You all probably have seen the email announcing that registration is starting today.

"Cold Wars attendee registration will open tomorrow Friday, February 17, at 12:00 PM EST.

In the meantime, please review the game offerings in the PELs available at the Cold Wars Event Listings page. Contact our events manager at events@coldwars.org with questions about games being run at the show.

You also have time to check out our list of exhibitors on our Cold Wars Exhibit Hall page. Questions about exhibitors or the exhibit hall can be directed to our exhibitor manager at exhibitors@coldwars.org.

Information about registering for the show is available on our Cold Wars Attendee Registration page. If you have any questions about registering, please contact the registrar at registrar@coldwars.org."
