I had a star fort which was much too Vaubanesque in appearance, it was made from two of the half star forts from Magister Militum. It was nice, but it wasn't a sconce. So I took an angle grinder to it, and modified it. link

EdV linen has just enough of a hint of colour to lift things, in a white not quite sort of way.
