I'm wanting to use FOB rules. For those of you in the know, where do you get the orders of battle? |

There are no army lists in Field of Battle 3, but the MA War section (page 107) shows general recommendations for officer and troop quality. I'd suggest Googling the particular battle you're interested in and following that thread to find some OOBs. |

The Anton Adams book The Mexican War has some unit strengths, as do the Santa Ana Rules. There are several scenarios on the Fire & Fury Website, you could probably work out what you need from that as well. The F&F and Santa Ana Rules strengths are pretty close. I had based my project on the SAR ones, then the F&F scenarios came out and I was mostly good. Mexican militia strengths will be the hardest. |

I game the MAW with FOB and typically cobble my OOBs from other sets. For Palo Alto, I made the 4th Mexican Line two units since it was twice as large as the other units. Most of the Mexican Commanders are D8 leadership perhaps a D10. American commanders D10 or D12. Let me know if you want my Palo Alto/Resaca De La Palma OOBs, I can send them to you. |
