When he treated a sick soldier, he fed them a diet of chopped-up beef, formed into patties and then broiled. The optimal beverage to accompany his new dish was black coffee or hot water…

Hey! The wheat weevils in that tack were warm. Giving it just that little extra wonderful pop and squish, or let the tack soak in your tin cup of coffee, until they floated to the top and then, bread, coffee and meat, all in one meal. The first MRE. 😉
