In January Devon Wargames Group ran a WW2 desert action as one of the club games. The scenario pitted Italians against plucky Brits and was to "O" Group Rules.
If you want to see how it went, you can find out here: link |

Snoop, Looks like a fun battle. O group is a great set of rules. How did you deploy the British since you were without cover? Is that why you limited sight to 24 inches? Thanks Joe |

Hi Joe, We took the view that heat haze and natural depressions in the ground would limit effective visibility. The 24" range we gave was chosen to allow relatively long range fire, but still allow for initial deployment. It seemed to work in the scenario. Vince |

So armor has to deploy at the table edge ordinarily or did you move it up to 24 inches? I ask because set up for me just doesn't seem to work in open terrain. Thanks Joe |

Wow, that really was quite the see-saw battle! Glad the good guys came out on top, and it's great seeing some Western Desert action. Thanks for sharing! V/R, Jack |
