For the War of 1812, in the naval actions between the Royal Navy and the US Navy, the US Navy won most of the ship-to-ship actions, and for the land war, the year 1814 saw a string of American successes on the Niagara frontier, Plattsburg, Baltimore, and New Orleans. There were two 'fleet' actions on the Great Lakes, both won overwhelmingly by the US Navy. |

Lilian & Et Al The French word "Bistro" is courtesy the Cossachs. Seems they used/yelled it a lot. In Russian it means "faster." Whenever food/drink services moved too slowly it was their go to word. |
