Hi All,
I'm looking for any of the Everquest RPG books by Sword and Sorcery. I have all in PDF form, but having physical books is nice. Ebay prices are wide, varied, and a little too pricey. If anyone has these for a good price, please let me know!

You can upload them to Lulu.com, and have them printed in multiple formats: spiral bound, soft cover, or hard cover. You might need to subscribe to a commercial (read, powerful) PDF editor, to massage them into a printable format.

I tried to buy hard copies of the 2e AD&D Priest Spell Compendiums, off of e-Bay, but the prices went beyond $100 USD/book, and not all three of the volumes were available! I'm a gamer, not a collector. I massaged my legally purchased PDF files into acceptable formats, for Lulu. The original printed books were low quality soft cover, perfect bound books, with a lot of bleed-through, which shows up in the scanned PDF versions. I printed mine with new hard covers: I could not create workable PDF cover files, so I gave up and used their canned options to make new covers. I also printed my copies in a larger format than the original books! I would not trade my copies for the original books, even if free!

The POD quality varies, a bit, but even the low quality options are quite good, IMO. I opted for low quality paper, to save money (mildly coarse texture -- I will likely opt for high quality paper next time), and low quality ink (inkjet, water-soluble ink; I will always opt for high quality, toner ink, in the future). Each volume has 700+ pages, and there are three volumes in the set; each book was printed and delivered to my house, for $20/volume! These had zero color, which kept the cost down, considerably.

The options will vary, and the higher the quality, the higher the price. Another book I wanted in hard cover (only offered in softcover, by the publisher) clocked in at 96 color pages, but for unknown reasons, I had to select high quality paper and ink (nothing else was accepted by Lulu), and that book cost me $38, delivered!

You can see the cost, before you buy, so try them with different options, to see what they will cost. The low quality ink and paper will work for normal tabletop use, in RPG games. My Priest Spell Compendiums get a fair amount of handling, and they're 2+ years old, with little wear.

The professional PDF tools charged me a monthly subscription rate of around $10 USD/month. I canceled my subscription as soon as I was done using it, so I only paid for one month, using it for one week.

I will never sell my Lulu books to anyone, not even my own kids. I made individual copies for my own personal use. I do not believe that I violated the IP owner's rights: I did pay for the PDF copies, and they gave me the right tp print hard copies, at my own expense. At worst, it is a gray area of the law. Selling my hard copies would violate their IP rights. Cheers!

Thanks for the info Sgt Slag; I already did their test pricing and the biggest books are under $20 USD, significantly cheaper than anything on ebay. This may be a great alternative.
