Got word late this afternoon that Lori succumbed to a heart attack and has gone to join her dad Larry and her mom "in the west." We don't know any other details. As soon as we do, I'll pass them along.

Sorry to hear. I met her once at a Heat of Battle (convention at the WWII museum) and got to play a game hosted by Larry.
Condolences to Christy.

Sad to hear. Another one of those folks in the gaming world I always hoped I'd get a chance to meet.

Oh, no. That's such awful news… but thank you for passing it on to all of us, Jim. What a terrible shock. So sorry to hear it. Lori was such an awesome lady. And she could be hilarious too. May she Rest In Peace and May Her Memory be a Blessing for all who knew and loved her… most especially for her dear sister, Christy.

I am saddened beyond words. I knew the Brom family well.
She was a wonderful woman. My sympathies go out to her
sister Christy and family as well as those of us who knew
them. May she rest in peace.

Devastating news.

This means Christy is alone, and I worry about her financial security. Her life's work has been CJD Aware, and that is not paid advocacy.

She must be heartbroken, alone save for their beloved family of pets.

I hope the many friends of her family will be able in some way to be of service now and the future.

Lori Brom, a classy lady, a great companion around the gaming table and the dinner table, a rock. She gave us so many good memories, but this is a very sad time for her many friends and for her sister Christy.

SgtGuinness25 Jan 2023 3:17 p.m. PST

Very sad news indeed. Very unexpected, I was just communicating with her about a joint project.

What a special woman, so easy to talk to and always fun to be around. So many good memories from cons and games. Lori was actually in my very first TSATF game ever in the mid 80's at a con. She was describing the nuances of the rules and told me to get my Egyptians into cover ASAP before they got slaughtered. Sad days indeed.

My heart goes out to Christy, you're in our thoughts and prayers!
