Three drones attacked a U.S. base in southeastern Syria on Jan. 20, the latest in a series of threats to the strategically positioned outpost, U.S. Central Command said.

Yes, saw that on Military.com too. link

The attackers could have been ISIS or Shia militias armed by Iran. Good to see our Anti-Drone tech works. And again, the war against islamic terrorists/jihadis continues. And yes, they still are a threat.

Could even have been the Russian's directly or indirectly. Very murky corner of the planet. The Russians have definitely been doing plausibly deniable stuff elsewhere.

I'm going with ISIS or Shia militia. They have done this before. They are "all the usual suspects". Russia has a full plate at this time. What would they gain by poking the US ? That may just influence the US to send more support to Ukraine, e.g. M1 MBTs.

Regardless again, it is good to know our anti-drone system works, anyway. As we know, we will see more drones on today's battlefield.
