If you used a prehensile tail to help assist with figure assembly, that would open whole new vistas of accidentally gluing appendages together, esp. if fur were involved.

In Scotland, late eighteenth century, Lord Monboddo claimed (repeatedly) that people were indeed born with tails, but the midwives were all in league to amputate these at birth.
If I had a tail, this would probably allow even better communication with Muckie, ma wee dug.
