It's just another set of adequate rules. However the figures and ships are first rate. The figures are very reminiscent of classic Pirate paintings and don't look at all like standard Dolly masters with pirate stuff sculpted on. |

The figures are ok, but a lot have strange poses with both knees bent. The rules are a bit fiddly, having to track actions and fatigue, and we found the ship rules didn't work well with the land rules |

The figures are nice but suffer from a bad case of scale creep. However, I have some of their leader figures which look the part of various notorious buccaneer captains. I agree that the rules are too clunky and are suitable only for very small skirmishes. And for those there are much cleaner rules available. |
