Poll question--and general curiosity. How far (in hours) would you travel each way to take part in what you expected to be a good miniatures game? Separate convention question will follow. Me? Two hours has been sadly common. Say three for a max. |

I will do a 4-6 hour drive for a friend's game. For me, this is better than a hit-or-miss convention… I know for certain that I will enjoy a friend's game! Cheers! |

I'll drive 2 hours for a good game. Eat breakfast out, 2 hour drive, game, dinner on the way home. Makes for a nice day. |

5-8 hours (depends on traffic) to visit a friend for the weekend. That weekend includes at least one or more games. That is the most I travel for a game. Haven't done that since covid. Locally no more than 30 minutes. |

For a one-off game, or maybe two, about 2 hours driving one way. |

Usually an hour but maybe up to 2 for a special event. |
Dave Knight | 21 Jan 2023 11:16 a.m. PST |
Usually just 15 minutes, I did one 500 miles trip last year but made a week's holiday of it |

Half Hour, no more than that. |

As current history shows, about an hour, give or take. But depending on the company, I might travel further. |

I think the most time I've spent going to a friend's place for miniatures gaming was about an hour and a half. |
irishserb | 21 Jan 2023 12:51 p.m. PST |
Probably 3 hours, 1:30-1:40 has been pretty typically over the last ten years or so. |

My weekly gaming commute usually takes 1 1/2 hours when I leave at 5 PM on a Friday and 45 minutes when I return later that night. |

We host, so usually 40' from the living room to the dining room table … <1 minute. Everybody in our group is <20 miles away in the DC metropolitan driving area … so about 9-11 hours driving? :) Seriously anywhere from 30-60 minutes. On the long side of things, ~15 hour flight to Inchon then 2 hour drive to Camp Humphrey to play at SOM/DLOM's place. It's about an 11 hour flight to Rome and about 90 minutes to the NATO M&S Center. |

Old Contemptible | 23 Jan 2023 4:55 p.m. PST |
For me 30 minutes. I did at one time have a player who drove an hour and a half each way once a month, to play in my games. |
ChrisBrantley | 26 Jan 2023 7:00 p.m. PST |
In DC traffic, even close takes an hour each way. :-). That's about my limit. |
