Just in case anyone's interested, the 70th anniversary of the Cold War dogfight between the USAF and the Czech Air Force coming up in March. If you have a coupe of spare F-84s and MiG-15s knocking about you can recreate it easily – if you have a couple of spare F-86s then you can also play a 'what-if' rematch for when the US replaced the F-84s later the same year. I've written a short article with the background and how I put the two games in a mini-campaign; it's available free of charge on Wargames Vault, here: link
When I played it I was the Americans, and I got my backside kicked! You can see my play through on the blog: link

Looks interesting, but link set "URL not found". Btw, I'll be turning 70 this year, so grew up in the Cold War Era, but never heard of this tussle. |

What a fabulous little package! I was not aware of having even a smidgeon of interest in this sort of thing, but now that you have done practically everything to eradicate even the smallest excuse for inertia – planes and decals more or less handed up on a plate, forsooth – and have made it look such fun, it's going to be really hard not to send off a couple of orders and then … Curse you, Jones … |
