"The DIY Fort note by Jim Rohrer, and the flurry of replies prompted by it, reminded me of a fort project I undertook, well, almost twenty-five years ago now. Jim's fort reminded me of those old Britain's and Timpo 54mm figures, and my distant boyhood games with them. It particularly reminds me of one or two of the border fortlets which still exist on the remote edges of the old Austria-Hungarian empire. You could I think use it for anything from the late Romans and
Byzantines though the Crusader era and the time of the Ottomans down to the Great War…"

I would really like that those 20mm Raventhorpe miniatures could be purchased again. Never succeeded, since years, to get in touch with the owners .
