I stumbled on this rulesset the other day:

There's a decent amount of setting information on the FASA website, but hardly anything I saw about what the game's like mechanically.

Anyone played it? Is there a review with a bit of info what it plays like anywhere?

A set of rules on the manufacturer's website with a dead link (wrong product number in the url, it is 1295 not 898) to their own webshop.

Dead link to the 1879 Miniatures Core Rulebook in their shop.

I wonder if the sales team noticed why sales were down.
Or if they even care.

I haven't tried the rules.
But I do have some of the figures which I got from RPE. The range shown from the USA is bigger than what is available from RPE.
Nice figures. Fits very well with Minifigs and other 15mm ranges.
Also quite suitable for Pulp Space Opera settings.
And some fantasy undead armies too. Very versatile figures and I would happily recommend.
