"What I want from TMP in 2023" Topic

A few simple requests for the coming year.

1. No nightly shutdown. Because, being in Australia, the shutdown is RIGHT when I want to use TMP.

2. An Australian marketplace board.

3. Less people using history to hide their political statements.

It is pretty rare that anyone is in the doghouse anymore. Definitely agree with #3.

4. Conversion to a new Forum Software Solves #1 and search might work.

I would like to see topics that have current replies appear on main page, similar to how other forums operate.
But the above suggestions are very good also.

It would be nice to be able to upload photos directly from my hard drive like other forums do.

I would like to be able to change the sort of searches to the most recent on top instead of having to go through years of postings.

Would like to delete and edit my topics. I don't like it hanging around mocking me while people post to it anyway.

It should be simple to just cut and paste, just like text is.

Yes, I have to upload my pics from another site, i.e. Tactical Command. And only a link. I'd like to be able to upload directly from my hard drive.

To Bill's credit and I was a denizen of the DH often in the past, Bill cleaned up those that don't play well with others. 👍👍

1: I'd like the forum to be a little more "modern".

2: I'd also like the ability to directly load pics onto the site, and not have to go through a third party site.

3: I'd like any and all "issues with other websites/forums" bs, that pops up or starts at irregular intervals here to just stop completely.

4: I'd like some people that left to come back.

Yes, please, most recent messages first. Going through numerous messages that are 20 years out of date is a bother.

Not to have my posts snipped can't really have a convention if I'm gonna be retrospectively snipped.
With banner's about free speech it comes across as a bit hipocratical.

How are you "forced" to publicly display your email address?

If you want to convey information privately the only way you can do this is publicly give your e-mail address and then communicate via e-mail that is a forced action, something that you do because circumstances make it necessary.

Would also like to see the Marketplace Market Boards divided up with one section for figures, vehicles, terrain, etc. and another strictly for books.

So, your statement starts with you want something. You're not forced to do anything.

TMP does not hide the fact that everything you post on the Internet is public, except with its Private Messaging function.

BTW, you could use the PM function if you want to pretend it is private.

Subscribe to forum topics and threads. Be able to see/get notification to posts on threads you have commented on. See new posts in one view. PM each other.

The ability to search within a forum and not the entire TMP universe. For example; If I am in the Bolt Action forum I can search "Large Battles" just in that forum.
