We solved this problem by getting rid of many aircraft carriers. We don't want to confuse the pilots, I mean aviators.

That's probably why they let him land. To avoid that.

While the graffiti is fun, it's also a stress outlet. Taking an unscheduled, planned, and logistically supported aircraft on your deck is a nightmare. It's not so bad that you'd let them ditch.

You would have to have a serious mission requirement to order that. In that case, the aircraft would probably know and ditch on purpose, anyway.

I would think landing on an aircraft carrier would be quite the feat.
