Though this scenario was rolled up over two years ago, I just played it the other night. "The Mouse Roars" and the Soviet Union finds itself caught in the Uwanda-Mugabia war.

I added a bit of fluff on my blog, hinting at the direction of things following this weekend's battle. Located at:

Brian,

Holy crap man, fantastic story-weaving and telling, I love it! It's quite a situation, between the Mugabians, Soviets, ULF, and Uwandans, not clear at all to me where you're going to go with this, and can't wait to find out. That and the lone surviving Presidential Guard ;)

Your table always looks amazing, and I marvel at how you do it with all those singly-based guys, very impressive. And that Hind is a ferocious looking bastard!

Great stuff, please keep it coming.

V/R,
Jack

Thanks Jack.

I worked my way through all of the possible reactions oday and ended up with fairly predictable path (for a change).

Next game is an air encounter between the Soviets and Uwanda. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks agan.

Excellent, looking forward to it, but even more so on the ground, want to see how the Russkies handle this. A punitive expedition, full-scale invasion, ignore it and sue for reparations? Perhaps a special military operation? ;)

Irish, great stuff. When did you have time to make all those trees? Your characters really brought it to life. Maybe the Col is only wounded and hiding out??

Still working out details on the ground, but the dice have gone bad for the ULF. And I also have the feeling that I'm going to have to buy new miniatures to rebuild Uwanda's army this year.

The trees are mostly from Woodland Scenics armature kits, the middle one with 57 trees and the taller one with 28 trees. Allows you to build up forest pretty quick.

Oh the poor Colonel; he had really bad dice. Bad,bad dice.

I also posted the next report, a small air encounter between Uwanda and the Soviets, starts off the next leg of the campaign. AAR38 is at:

Thanks everybody!
