Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a good ship deck crew with rigging climbers?
I have project in mind that starts or ends with this.

Thanks!

Peter Pig has nice crew members in their 15mm pirates range. Some of them have empty hands others are artillery crew. Ohers are firing swivel guns. Still others are swimming. Maybe you can use them for sailors climbing rigging They are very nice and Peter Pig sturdy.

I am not aware of any. I suggest finding on line model ship building hobby stores and sweing what they have. I know some stuff is out there in 1/72.

Capitan Games made a great bunch and I still have some stock, but it is not on the web site just now.

PM me or mark@scalecreep.com

They were sculpted by Mike Broadbent IIRC.

I forgot to add that I would also look at 3d printing sites like shapeways.

If a climber is really what you need:

Look for the Revell model kit of the frigate USS Constitution – 1797
(nickname "Old Ironsides")
Scale 1:96 So very close to 15mm scale. The figures are very thin! There are 4 figures intended to be rig climbers, but several others would be easy conversions as they are polystyrene.

Look at 9 min 22 sec into this video for the crew sprue
