Hi, I am posting this from my phone as it's showing as a phishing site on my desktop. It looks like the security certicate may have expired. Can that be updated so I can access the site again? I know this has affected some other folks too.

Thank you

John

To the best of my knowledge, this is an AVG bug.

If you use AVG, please set TMP as an exception so that it will stop falsely declaring problems at TMP.

AVG has provided no specifics to indicate why they think there is a phishing problem here.

More and more browsers are reporting nonSSL (not https) as un safe.

Bill, you really need to look into getting SSL certificates.

I have added TMP as an exception. It still sees that http as an issue. My own website had the same issue. I solved it by getting the SSL.

Thanks

John

letsencrypt.org
They offer free SSL certificates, but there are some caveats:
hackers use them, cause it's free, which may cause it's own set of problems with anti-virus scanners
They renew every 90 days or so, but I think it's automatic. Means your server has to have access to them (which is why we don't use them where I work)
It will take some configuration work on your side to get it set up (yea! another project)

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with a non-ssl site that doesn't collect personal info.

It also happens with Avast, so not just an AVG problem

Webroot was showing TMP as a caution but now it is green light.

We don't have or need an SSL certificate.

It would be a shame to waste money on that, when it could be used to support our workers.

I have the same problem with Avast.

How much does it cost to obtain an SSL Certificate?

How much does it cost to obtain an SSL Certificate?

Last time I looked, $100 USD for the certificate, plus whatever changes are needed to be compatible.
