Wanted to try out an attack scenario for Battalion Forward so took a german infantry company into the woods with a "perfect plan." report found here:

Enjoy and Merry Christmas

Excellent stuff, Joe, a great fight. I dunno about the "perfect plan" aspect, but not too bad ;) I was curious, it seemed like the blinds for the Russkies at the Factory got figured out pretty early, which made life a bit easier on the German A and B Companies tussling in the woods.

Great stuff, and took a look at Parker's Crossroads as well, pretty cool.

Jack, hope you had a good holiday with the family. Yes I rolled up the factory early because there was a chance of a mtr there and mid game it could have turned the tide in the woods.

Cheers

Joe,

Yes, the holidays were fantastic, hope yours were as well.

And thanks for the clarification on the factory, was just curious. That's always the "big question" for me in this style of solo game, when do you make the big reveal, how do you decide which blind(s) is relevant to each piece of the action? I will admit that I've played games where I didn't get the timing of the revealing of blinds correct, and I felt like I was cheating, defeating the enemy force piecemeal.

Cool stuff, looking forward to the next installment!

V/R,
Jack

Always a balance when playing solitaire. Will post a small ARVN cav battle next week that I just finished.

Cheers

Absolutely, and looking forward to the ARVN cav fight!

If you missed it, I've made my long-awaited return to gaming, just posted my first batrep in my WWII North Africa campaign, and posted all the stuff I've painted over the past year or so ("Wargaming in an Exceedingly Poor Manner"). Feels good to be back playing and posting.

V/R,
Jack
