I am looking for interesting WWII naval scenarios – any good tips from members…?

Thanks

How many ships is your sweet spot? I assume you're looking for cruisers and destroyers, mostly.

Jack Greene's game The Royal Navy has good historical scenarios, as do the other games in the series (Iron Bottom Sound I, II, and III for the Pacific, of course). link

Jack Greene's games, some at the scale you're interested in: link

The BGG page for The Royal Navy (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/9360/royal-navy/files) has two files that are excellent sources for additional scenarios: "Royal Navy Enhanced Cyberboard Gamebox" and "Royal Navy additional scenarios based on IES's Mare Nostrum." You'll need to download the free Cyberboard program to open the first.

Atlantic, Mediterranean, Pacific, etc.?

Nice, Buckeye Bob!

Thanks for the quick responses and links.

emckinney – initially smaller engagements up to around ten ships per side as my playing area is only 6x4.

Thresher – I'm mainly looking at the Med and Atlantic but anything will be of interest as my fleet grows.

You can't go wrong with River Plate and Battle of the Denmark Strait.

Just a quick additional big Thanks! to BuckeyeBob – that link is fantastic. Best wishes

I just provided a link. Thank Len Heinz for composing all those scenarios, many based on actual or could have been encounters and the various rulesets he created and are posted on that site.

I have already been in touch with Len privately. Thanks.
