Thanks for the battle report. I have these rules and the supplement but have never played them. I like some ideas and other seem potentially clunky.

Having played it a few times I can say that teh rules are very clunky . I've struggled really with rules for the period I think I have tried most of them and cant say that anything really excite sme

We used to play Tercio many years ago, but also found them complex and rather predictable.

We're currently playing Black Powder Pike and Shotte. Not sure I like them.
We have played a lot of For King and Parliament for non-TYW periods. I'm quite keen to try that for the TYW.

I played Black Powder was not keen , never tried pike and shotte, I had teh rulebook and could not get anyone interested. After 6 years I sold them off.

I tried reading FKAP but found it a chore.

I read Warhammer ECW but was not impressed , likewise 1644. I watched Barouqe being played but it seemed tedious. Times like this I wonder if I am in the right hobby.
