These are Fireforge foot sergeants.
Anybody know what these guys are wearing? It looks more like scale armor to me, although the box art makes it look like quilted fabric.
Can it be either depending on paint job as shown below, where one guy has it painted as scale armor and the other like fabric?

Scale armor. But you could paint it however you like as the scales could be made of thick fabric just as well as leather, horn, or metal.

Period pictures include the Cantigas of S. Maria – including red scales; a 1250 Apocalypse – green scales, possibly alternated with rows of a pale colour (the ms. is a bit faded); the Manesse Codex – steel/iron coloured.
See link for many others. Some of the original colours can be down to limited palettes or possibly fanciful choices.
The green may be horn or leather. I'd be surprised if fabric would be used in this way.
