These 60 figures took a l-o-n-g time to paint – mainly because I knew nothing about medieval warfare. Thank you for the kind comments. I know not a lot about medieval times (go on! Ask me something about Napoleonics) but I think the figures look like Barons' War period. My retinue represents the sizeable following of a fictious Anglo-French noble – a second son – who is out to carve something for himself from the troubled times. That's the back story, so far. It will grow over the coming years/games.

Very cool, nicely done. I have a small Anglo-Saxon army that needs to be gamed with. Thanks for reminding me and giving me inspiration to paint up a force to fight them.
